Spring Web Flow (SWF) aims to be the best solution for the management of web application page flow.

SWF integrates with existing frameworks like Spring MVC and JSF, in both Servlet and Portlet environments. If you have a business process (or processes) that would benefit from a conversational model as opposed to a purely request model, then SWF may be the solution.

mvc-dispatcher-servlet.xml

base-package indicate that page consider as spring package, Which may include Controller, Service, DAO and Component related annotations. Any java package which in not inside base-package is not consider by spring, means any annotation related to spring will not work on those package which are outside.

org.springframework.web.servlet.DispacherServlet will handle all require because in url-pattern we write here /.

if we write *.do in url-pattern at that time spring will handle only those request which end with “.do”, i..e demo.do, example.do
